Updated: Jun 20, 2022

This quiche is one of those great recipes that’s perfect if you are looking for something filling, warming and delicious but also easy to make. It’s ideal comfort food that’s homemade – and much easier and faster to make than you think!

Claudine's kids demonstrate how easy it can be to make delicious yet healthy food for the whole family. Her daughter wears a Sparks and Daughters apron to cook this simple but delicious quiche

My mission is to show families how easy it can be to cook healthy, delicious and nutritious meals. My dream recipe is one that doesn’t take too long to prepare, cook or clean up, so that I can maximise time with my kids.

What’s great about this quiche is that the fillings are totally flexible and you can add whatever you feel like, or whatever is in the fridge. It works well for either lunch or dinner.

It’s so easy that my 4 year old made it! I’ve shown the steps below, demonstrated by my little helpers.

This is also a useful one to teach kids basic cooking skills, without having to go to lots of time and effort. All the steps were easy and quick and also lots of fun. It’s also a good way to get kids to eat vegetables and eggs.

Ingredients: 1 x rolled All Butter puff pastry 5 eggs 150ml cream Left-over veg like roasted tomatoes, wilted spinach or ratatouille 60g grated strong cheddar cheese Herbs (optional) 2 slices ham/smoked salmon, chopped (optional) Step 1

Place the puff pasty in the tart tin. Fill with baking beans and bake at 200c for about 15 mins, or until golden. If you don’t have baking beans you can use foil or a plate to hold the sides of the pastry up. Pricking the middle of the pastry with a fork helps it stay down.

Simple cooking tricks that make a big difference. Here Claudine's daughter buts beans on the puff pastry to stop it from rising as she prepares this super easy to make yet healthy and delicious quiche

Step 2 Remove beans or plate and cook for 5 more mins. Sprinkle the pastry with the grated cheese, ham and left-over veg. Beat together the eggs and cream and pour over.

Cooking with kids can be easier than you think. From a young age Claudine's kids have enjoyed cooking adult recipes in the kitchen, such as this simple quiche recipe which is so easy it can be cooked by a four year old

Step 3 Bake at 170c for 25 mins or until just set. Leave to cool a bit then serve. It’s really that easy!

Delicious quiche recipe that feeds the whole family for lunch and dinner but is so quick and easy to make and can even be made by kids with these simple instructions and Claudine's easy to follow tutorial

Let me know in the comments if you've made the quiche and how you found it, I would love to know!

P.s and for those who have asked, the apron is from Sparks and Daughters on Not on The High Street. They weren’t gifted, I’m just a huge fan!
